[smear:429233]ZILLA[/smear:339251] and [smear:336892]DUSTY DEVIL[/smear:3e3392] beware for we love to [smear:da1f1f]RAID[/smear:920b0b] Daggers shifted quickly over the terrain. Eyes looking from one place to the next. Wondering just what this new land might bring for them. Shifting their daggers at the same time as the pair trotted forwards. Heads held high and thorns perked upon the skulls of these two. Trying to get in every piece of land that is going on around them. For they were new to this pace. Not knowing just what might come around the next corner. To think that they have been traveling this far and have not found one place to put down their roots. Only wanting a home for the two of them. Though of course it was hard in this day in age. you go to one place and it doesn't have a great lead or the lead who you love ups and poofs after your child is born. It was one thing that this only colored mare did not think would dare happen to her.
She continues upon her journey with her one year old colt coming along with her. Not knowing if she would be able to put her roots done here. It was something that she would have to test and see. Though once they found a good place to rest she slowed her figure and looked over towards Dusty. Nudging him to lay upon the one tree that they were near. Eyes watching as he moved his figure and curled up under the tree. Smiling as she watched the tired colt curl up and slowly drift to sleep. Letting her eyes then shift and scan the terrain with thorns perked high. Taking in the sounds around her. Seeing that she was out in the open and would be able to see whoever was coming. An would even be able to hear them thanks to the snow that rested upon the ground. Zilla on the other hand was tired herself.
Shifting her weight as she moved over towards where her colt laid. Folding her front pillars till she fell to the ground below. Hearing the groans from the little one and feeling his body move closer to where she laid. Smiling as she kept her head up but her body close to keep Dusty warm. Unsure of what things might happen today, but she hoped for nothing bad. She was not up for that at this point. Her body was tired from walking and all she wanted to do was lay where she was and rest her eyes. Hoping that maybe, just maybe something good would come out of their day of laying right where they were.

The Belgian was out to see as much of Epona as possible, so far it looked promising to the 18 hh sorrel roan Belgian. He now was around what was called the Flowering Fields, it was a sort of general meeting place where all sort of horses could meet up and either socialize or even go and live together if the mare and stag hit it off right. Mardy was hoping that a mare was around and so either get them to come with him, or somehow trick them if they wanted to play hard to get. He really was more career oriented this time around than any other point in his short and young life. Being seven years old he was just starting to get into his prime, and was ready to take on all comers if they tried to challenge him for either his land or mares. The Belgian tossed his head back and snorted the cool air. So far he had not smelled another horse, or the scent was a few days old and so was not worth tracking. He then bent his head down to grab a few mouth full of grass poking out of the snow. It looked to be one of those days where he was not going to see another soul. He sighed and continue to push forward.
That is when the wind shifted and with it was another equine, no make that two horses scent. Mardy shook his head so as to clear it and not having one of the older scents stuck in it. Nope this was a totally new one and more importantly a fresh one. He then kicked up his heals and charged forward towards where he thought these two was at. Marauder did know that one was a mare and the other was male but yet was not fully grown, so it might of been a foal to this mare. Oh he could do two things either accept it as his, or he could use it and control this mare and keep her with him. But there was one thing that was sort of nagging him in the back of his mind though, and that was he somehow sort of remembered this mares scent from sometime in his past. Mardy just could not put his hoof exactly on where he had run into this stranger before. He just continued going forward and would place all the pieces together once he seen this stranger before him. He finally crested a small knoll and in front of him was a single tree with what looked to be two draft built horses laying beneath it.
The sorrel roan stallion went from doing a pretty good clip to now doing a slow and cautious approach, there was no telling what this mare was capable of if she thought her foal was in danger, plus Mardy didn't want to fight and so risk a serious injury. When he was a few feet away that is when this mares coloration and her bony plated backside came screaming into his mind. That this was Zilla one of the mares he had run into and hit it off swell, so much so that they decided to start a new life together. He then stopped a short distance away looking her over, and then the foal by her must be hers and a very good chance that Mardy was the sire of him. Standing here though was not getting him any answers so in a low almost whisper he said.
" Zilla? Is that you?"
He then pawed the snowy ground with his left front hoof waiting for her to stir and to answer him.

[smear:000000]ZILLA[/smear:339251] and [smear:336892]DUSTY DEVIL[/smear:000000] beware for we love to RAID Resting here was the best thing that she loved at this point. Shifting her weight as she laid there thinking of all the things she had seen while traveling over the lands. Protecting her little one and raising him the way that she believed was best for him and not letting some idiot raise her son like she did not want him to be. It was just how she felt at this point in time. Flickering the thorns around upon her head as the thoughts seemed to just cover everything within her mind. Flickering her banner as she moved the snow from off of little Dusty's back side as he dreamed sweet little dreams. Taking in a slow deep breath as she shifted herself and curled up closer to her little man. Seeing that his dreams were getting worse, but of course she knew that it was mostly pain that was coursing through his bones. An seeing him settle down and noticing that he was starting to relax a bit more. Giving a soft smile as she closed her eyes once again and relaxed her body as she kept his warm.
Zilla than heard the sound of a voice. Her thorns pinning right away before turning and looking to see who it was and her figure tensing up right away as she glared at whoever was there. [smear:000000]"Go away!"[/smear:339251] She went and shouted towards whoever was there. With her eyes trying to adjust to the light around her. Snorting as she glared at the equine and allowed her vision to slowly come together before allowing her eyes and body to settle while looking over the equine that stood nearby. Shaking her head before standing up and putting her figure over top her sleeping son. [smear:339251]"No, it can't be you. Last time I saw you, you had disappeared after D. . ."[/smear:000000] Her words seemed to have just fade out from the surprise of seeing this stallion face to face again. Watching him carefully as she knew that it could be anyone that looked like her stag. She almost did not believe that his figure was standing right there before her own pelt.
Snorting slightly before her eyes looked down towards Dusty. Who had taken himself and kind of scooted close to the tree and had his own little nook. Taking in a deep breath with her eyes closing and then opening slowly to see if it really was him or not. Looking down for a moment and then back up towards the stallion. [smear:000000]"It. . .it really is."[/smear:339251] She said with a bit of a shaky voice as she did not know what to do now or even just what to say towards the bronco before her eyes. She just waited to see what the bronco was going to say towards her. The words that would come from her muzzle were a bit lost as she looked over the bronco and still kept her figure over the little bronco that was underneath her figure, but she still kept her guard up and would not let him near Dusty until she got the truth.

Marauder was sort of glad that this mare and young colt was his, he now was going to make sure that Zilla and Dusty would never again slip past him. No Mardy wanted a herd and lands of his own, he needed one in order to get the other. And Zilla was the start of what he hoped to be the begining of his little empire here in Epona. Marauder watched as Zilla sort of stammered for words, he just decided to let her go for now, best to let her take everything in and get everything out before speaking. When it seemed that she was done, all the sorrel roan stallion did was shake his head yes and then spoke softly.
" Yes it is me, Zilla it is Marauder. I never thought of finding you here Zilla, the last time was when I was driven from my last home that I tried to establish and keep. So what happen to the stag that chased me off, is he dead or did you somehow escape and slip away."
In truth Mardy was hoping that somehow he was chasing Zilla and so would meet again, except this time Mardy was going to make sure he got no further and either be chased off for good or be killed. He seen how Zilla was sort of protective of Dusty, and deep down he didn't blame her for it. He then finished up by saying.
" You know me better than that Zilla, as I would never even think of harming my son under any circumstances. I am on the look out to start up a herd and to claim a land for myself. Now you got two choices you can join me or I can corner you and make you come with me. This time around I aim to keep what is mine until death, whether than be run off."
Yes Mardy was still a little mad about what had happen to him over the years, and this time around he was going to make sure he kept what was rightfully his no matter what it took. Zilla was just the start of his little slice of heaven.

[smear:000000]ZILLA[/smear:339251] and [smear:336892]DUSTY DEVIL[/smear:000000] beware for we love to RAID Zilla still could not think that this stag was really the equine she had fallen for. She was separated from this bronco a long time ago and she was left alone. Leaving her to care for her son by herself. Not even joining a herd for the extra protection. Fear had taken over her mind and set her into real bad mothering mode. Not even this bronco would harm her youngster and she would not let him to close just yet. Snorting loudly before the words of this stallion slowly dripped into her thorns. Hearing his name made her heart skip a beat. Hearing his soft words enter more and more into her mind as she let everything go slowly. Shifting her eyes as she looked over to the little one that rest near her as she took in a deep breath of air. Then her eyes turned and looked back to where he stood.
[smear:339231]"You can say that his body is rotting away right now with vulture's pecking out of his eyes. For no harm will come upon my child. I brought him into this world and either old age or I will take him out of it."[/smear:000000] Words seemed ever so evil, but of course they were not harsh towards him at this very moment. Hearing his next words seemed to have set her off deep within her mind as she looked over the stag with thorns pinned upon her skull. Flickering her banner harshly at his tone as she looked at him with almost a evil look. [smear:000000]"Always speaking harsh to me when you just come back into my eyes. Always like you, Mardy, you can't just open me of open arms and be glad that I stand here with YOUR child resting there."[/smear:339231] Shaking her head as she released air slowly from her nares before looking over towards Dusty who seemed to stir up.
Her figure backing while she turned and looked back towards Dusty as he opened his eyes slowly and looked up to his mother. Then his eyes looked over towards the stag that stood before her. Thorns flattening upon his skull as he quickly moved up from the ground while pinning his thorns back as he came to his mother's side and stood within a fighting stance. Teeth beared tightly together as he glared down the stag and not even knowing that this was his father before his own eyes. [smear:336892]"Who is this mother?!"[/smear:000000] He snapped as his thorns pinned tight upon his head still. Yes, Zilla could lie and know that her little killer would love to chew upon the flesh of this bronco, but Zilla was not really into that type of thing.
[smear:000000]"My son. . .this is your father."[/smear:339231] She snorted as she looked over towards the young bronco before reaching down and touched him gently. [smear:339231]"Please, calm yourself hun. Your little angry self is showing bright."[/smear:000000] Saying her words gently as she knew that this was the only way to calm his anger and seeing his body start to relax as she looked up and over towards Mardy with a gentle sigh from her muzzle. She knew she could not go far now. She was defeated once again. Her body tired from running from this point but she did not want to be with Marauder if he was going to act like this and just not speak soft. All this running that she has done over time has grown her a bit weak in her legs. Her body wanting to collapse upon the ground that her daggers stood upon, but of course she stood strong the best that she could. Taking in a deep breath of air as she turned and looked down towards Dusty. Knowing hat this devilish colt was ready to fight, but she would not let it happen.
Then out of her tired figure her body started to tremble slightly before she could do much. Her body slowly fell to the ground out of exhaustion. Dusty's eyes widened slightly as he looked towards his mother seeing her body laying upon it's side and her head resting there. [smear:000000]"I am okay my son. My legs are tired is all."[/smear:339231] She said softly but she knew how her son was and he was going to be very protective. Watching as he moved his figure and seemed to stand over her as she stood slightly over his figure. This was just a thing they did to protect one another when they rested. Eyes looked over his mother for a moment before they quickly looked over Mardy. Protecting his mother even if this was his father or not.
